I have a Bluetooth enabled PDA which has WM2003 (fully licensed) with the
Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.

The PDA does not have a proper BT manager but I have written something using
OpenNetCF stuff that allows me to successfully pair my Jabra BT250 headset.
I can choose from Headset profile or Headset Audio Gateway profile for the
pairing. I have tried both, both pair but no audio. I suspect that the
Headset Audio Gateway profile is the one I should be using.

The problem is that even though I can pair successfully, I get no audio
through the headset. I would like to be able to use the mic too.

When I look in the registry
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Services\) it has an entry
for Headset and Headet Audio Gateway.

Anybody know why this doesn't work, and what I can do to get it working?
Does it need some generic wave dll file?

Thanks in anticipation of your help.

Gary.

AFAIK, the bluetooth headsets currently on the market are specifically
designed to work with cell-phones only. I was going to get one to use with
my computer for chatting and such and was told the above. I could be wrong.

good luck

It might depend on the market, but over here in The Netherlands, both
bluetooth
headsets that I bought work with all computers that I tried (4 different USB
bluetooth adapters on 3 desktops and 3 laptops), and they also worked with
both
bluetooth phones that I use them with. In fact, that is the way it's
supposed to be
when the USB adapter, phone, and headset are implemented according to the
standard.

On the other hand, I have heard stories that Nokia made some
not-quite-standard
bluetooth phones & headset combo's in the past, so it might be worthwhile to
check
or buy at a place with a good return policy.

I purchased a blue tooth card for my AnexTek here in the UK and while
the card registers the headset it will not transmit to it... most annoying.

Its probably best to find find someone that actually successfully uses
the combination you want to use before you actually buy it.
