Hey guys I'm am really new to overclocking so bare with me if this is boring.

Setup is a AMD 4200 X2 on an Asus A8N-SLI SE Mobo with the standard HSF and fan and I've just used the Asus AI Overclock and set it at Overclock 3% so now the CPU has gone from 2.21 to 2.27 Ghz. Sisoftware is telling me the temperatures are:

Mobo - 38C
Cpu1 - 35C
Cpu2 - 29C

Is this ok? I think I read that as long as the Cpu is below 50C then it is ok?

More often than not, clocked components in a computer are likely to naturally sway about 3% of their set clock speed, so a manual 3% overclock is not only safe, its almost pointless and there will be no noticeable performance benefits from an oc that small.

And yes, those temperatures are more than fine.

Thanks for the encouragement, I've now gone through 5% and am now on 8% so it's running at 2.38 Ghz.

Temps:

Mobo - 37C
CPU1 - 36C
CPU2 - 27C

Is that possible that they are pretty much the same? Is SiSoft lying to me?
