The mass-transit systems of the world, with dozens or even hundreds of different destinations, can be confusing to tourists and locals alike. Last month, William Bright, a design director for Nerve.com, started providing free, downloadable maps that could be displayed on the LCD screens of the iPod players. I have Destinator 3 UK version on my PPC.
As I am thinking about a trip to Aus soon , does anyone know if I can just
buy the maps or obtain them from the internet? Seems silly if I have to buy
the software for Australia as well
Google did not seem to yield any light

anyone Know ?

How about starting with the official website at www.destinator1.com?

There's a separate shop section for the maps. Brace yourself though, maps
for Australia are $299.

Frode is right. You can get the Australian maps in their online shop.
