I overclocked my E6600 (the fsb to 333mhz) on the D975Xbx (rev. 1) motherboard. When I check my overall speed on Cpu z I either get multiplier 6 or 9. When i check core temp, I get (333*9=3000). I'm doing this on stock cooling. My question is, should i over clock this much on stock, and if so, where should I stop. Also, how do I manually adjust the multiplier.

When i run speed fan, i get V1.5 out of range, how do i solve this?

Thanks

****I read wusy's guide very thoroughly before I attempted this.

if your temp are ok then u could even overclock more. i dont think that u need 1.5v (vcore) in order to get 3ghz default voltage is quite enough :D

But Cpu z says that the multiplier is 6 or 9, it keeps switching. All my other sources say 9x333=3000. Is there away on my mb to make the multiplier a solid 9? I'm using d975xbx.

Have you disabled speedstep in your bios?

I have an E6700 on a Bad Axe 2 and CPU-Z shows a multiplier that switches between 6 and 10. I'd love to know the reason and fix it if something isnt right.

That occurs to me too. I've disabled to the speed step.
It's normal. The cpu only goes to 9x when used if not it's lowered.
