All;

I am working on a plan for upgrading a NT Domain into a AD 2003 Forest. I
would like to have the upgraded domain as a subdomain under my forest. Here
is a brief overview of my test lab process.

Note: I would like to have each domain contain a delegated DNS zone with ADI
DNS.

1. Delegate subdomain for DNS.
2. Setup member server with Primary DNS Zone for new subdomain. Create a
Stub zone on the member server for the root domain.
3. Install new BDC in domain. - Point DNS to Primary Zone Member Server.
4. Promote BDC to PDC.
5. Install Windows 2003 on PDC.
6. DCPROMO Starts automatically.
7. I get a DNS error that follows:

The SOA query for _ldap._ctp.dc._msdcs.Domain1.Domain.com to find the
primary DNS server returned.

I know that this is because this zone information is not on my new DNS
server. But, I do not know how to correct.

Note: Once I have installed freshly build 2003 DC's, I will remove the
upgraded server from the domain. I would like to be left with DC's with ADI
Zones for there domain.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks;
