I have a problem to solve in my facilities.
I have a windows 2000 server that is the only domain controller of a domain
that was created with a wrong name.. It's "INC" instead of "INC.local" and
now i have a new box to install SBS2k3, Isa Server and Exchange 2k3. The
problem as you alaready should know is that SBS must be the master of
operations and there must be only a domain on the forest.
The windows 2000 have exchange 2000 installed and working. So i have a
problem cause i can't install sbs2k3 with the steps that i have to add it to
the existing domain and made sbs the master and have the fsmo roles cause
when it try to replicate data it can't contact the 2000 domain..i think that
it's because the domain misses the ".local".
Windows 2000 have a SQL Database program running on it and is the file
server also.
So what i need?
A solution to have SBS2k3 installed with Isa Server working protecting the
network and if possible Exchange too.
Anyone have some solution that i could try ? I've been making some tests on
a clone machine of the problematic 2000 server.
I really need to find a solution to make the necessary operations this
saturday.
