the qx6700 is watercooled by thermaltake kandak LCS i has a huge radiator 3x 120mm fans, my idle temp is
core1\46\ core2\44\, core3 \50\ , core4\50\ mobo 35
that's stock speed, i was going to make my overclock when i downloaded everest ultimate editon, and saw tht temps, also at full load i go 81c,
in the bios i see 28c core temp so whats the deal here is everest crazy?? im not gonna take chances im going to remove the hs and reaply my grase AS5, just in case. also, is bionic a good stress program? i see 4 core cap at 100% running seti project
well im going to do it, hope somebody has any idea. i let you know if theres a diference

FWIW,

I'm running a Kandalf LCS as well; however, I only have an E6700. Currently I'm overclocked at 3.3 GHz and running idle at 35 deg. celsius. At stock speeds, Idle temps were less than 30 degrees.

Are you sure you mounted the CPU water block properly. I think that'd be the first place to check although I'm a noob at this.

ok i reapply the as5 , i use the methid (rice size drop in the center then mount the waterblock) according to speed fan this are the temps

core0 31 core1 31 core2 24 core3 25 at idle mobo 33 i also see something called temp1 19c and temp 1 40c
at load with everestultimate stress test + seti +prime 95 hot core hit 57c

Much better! Tdelta(load-idle) should be around 25 degrees so this looks good :)

According to the AS5 instructions for a quad core, you're supposed to use a line down the center of the chip since that's where the cores are located. See this URL and select the quad core in the bottom right.

Cool, so you're running 9x333=2997 MHz? If you're hottest core is 58C, what are the others just curiously? I'm waiting until the $530 price on the Q6600 before I build a system next month hopefully and am wondering just how much heat that chip will produce when running 9x333 which is what I'd like to do.
