Turn off System Restore and then turn it on again.

You can delete all but the most recent restore point by using Disk Cleanup.
After the initial check by Disk Cleanup, click the button for More button
and look for the option relating to System Restore.

Also may want to readjust the amount of space allotted for System Restore.
You can do that in the System Properties' screens.

Hi Bross,

I wouldn't advise removing them all, but I would suggest reducing the
amount.
You will find information on doing so on the following page without
loosing all the restore points.
