we recently switched to cox cable and as I don't want to spend $80 for the joe schmoe cox cable modem, i want to purchase a solid one with wireless capabilities as well as firewall or some sort of security protection from the outside. What are my best options?
i've been researching and it definately looks like i'm going to go that route as the all-in-one combos just don't cut it. i was considering the 5120 for the modem. read that it's pretty solid. how does that turbodox software with d-link's modems stack up? does it really improve performance?
I've never heard of turbodox software so I can't comment on it. I just download the latest firmware for the router and leave it stock. I haven't had any problems with D-Link routers.
