I have an ASUS Crosshair with an AMD 5200+, 2GBs of RAM, and an 8800GTX. I plan on putting another in for SLi soon and I need tom know what my PSU options are. I am on a budget so please help me out.

I say screw modular cabling, I have an Enermax Liberty, and its a nice feature, but I could live without it. If you really want a modular psu theres the 850w Silverstone Strider, although its not SLI certified and for the same price you could get a PC P&C 750w Quad.

first of all, pairing TWO 8800gtx's with a 5200+ is RETARDED. one gtx will more than exceed your realistic cpu capabilities, so getting another is just waisting money.

if you want to spend that much money, just go out and buy a core2 and a whole new system. or at the least, wait until there are games out that require more than one gtx.

by the way, this post doesn't really apply that much if you have an HD monitor (like something that is AT LEAST 1920x1200), because those absurd resolutions do demand absurd amounts of horsepower.

Damn, thats a big display! My dream mac setup would be 4 of those, 2 each hooked up to Clovertown Mac Pro's. Not exactly ideal for a gaming setup though, and thats the only reason i could think of for a person to get dual SLI'ed 8800gtx's.
