Hi

I am using RIS to deploy W2K to several different Dell machines.

RIS seems to deal with most driver issues OK and I am running a GUI RunOnce
to run a batch file that installs extra bits of software including ie6. That
works well.

The only thing I am having difficulties with is installing some of the
drivers for the Dell D410. The Chipset, BlueTooth and Wireless Drivers have
problems if I try and install them in the GUI RunOnce. I have created a
batch file to install them but I have to do this manually once the machine is
finished the rest of the install (after ie6 is done and after the GUI RunOnce
has completed). Even then I cannot seem to install the Bluetooth drivers
silently. You have to click next a couple of times.

So the question is :

a) Can the batch file be run as part of the unattended install?
b) Can the Bluetooth drivers be installed without the need to click Next ?

Thanks

Graeme

Hi,
Did you try to deploy your drivers with the key OemPnPDriversPath of
ris.sif file ?

Jérôme

Hi

I did, and this works fine for things like the audio, nic and video but the
chipset drivers and bluetooth drivers seem to need the install to be run.

Did you try to open the setup EXE with an archiver (Winzip, Winrar, ...) or
try to launch the installer and localize the temp directory. With one of
this method, you will find an INF file. That's required to be used by
OemPnPDriversPath.

I hope that will help you.
