WinNT 4 To Win2000 To 2003

I just bought a couple big dell 3ghz duel neon servers
running win2003 server
my current domain is winnt 4 upgraded to 2000 AD
with a couple of BDC's still running nt4 which the 2003 servers are to
replace.

My ?? is can i hook up one of the 2003 servers and
make it a BDC to the 2000 server so i will get all the AD
on it, then take the old 2000 server offline and
use the new 2003 as the pdc?
if i run dcpromo on the 2000 server will it make the 2003 server the catalog
server also.
