I am trying to perform a clean install of WIN2K Server on a PII 266MHz with
64MB SDRAM, and a 3GB HDD. I boot from the CD-ROM and select the option to
format the HDD which completes OK. Setup subsequently starts copying files
from the CD and gets 70% completed when it stops with the message:
"Setup cannot copy the file tshtsv_s.chq
To retry press enter….
To Skip….press…
To Quit…press… "
If I select the "skip" option, it seems I get the same message for each
subsequent file setup tries to copy. This is the 2nd WIN2K Server CD I have
tried (sasme problem) and have previously had an evaluation copy of WIN2K
Server installed on this PC without any problems.
I did a search with Google for the file name and only got one hit which was
a german website which seemed to have a similar problem but no solution.
I am going to try re-installing the evaluation version again, but in the
mean time any ideas or sugesstions from any one would be welcome.
