Hi

I have been trying to test (unsuccessfully) putting a Dell GX270 image onto
a Dell GX150. I have included the [SysprepMassStorage] section in my
sysprep.inf file and pointed to the correct located on the C: of the GX270
but once the image is placed on the GX150 it says starting windows and then
freezes. Will this be a problem with the Harddrive controller still not
being right or possibly something else. I also removed the Hard drive
controllers out of the device manager before syspreping the GX270 but this
didn't help either.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Generally, failure to setup the [SysprepMassStorage] section correctly
will result in a BSOD 0x7b STOP message: not a lock up. Could be a HAL
issue or drivers. Try adding "/bootlog /sos" to your OS entries in C:
\boot.ini and find out the last driver it is loading before it locks
up. Then try renaming that file in the Recovery Console and see if it
continues on.
