Hi. I recently purchased a Samsung HLP6163W set. I have Comcast cable.
Any advice on how to improve the picture quality of the analog stations?
What's the optimal settings for Contrast, Sharpness, etc.? Also, has anyone
tried the Comcast HD DVR? How many hours does it have and does it maintain
the quality? My TiVo can't record high defintition unfortunately. Thanks!

I have the HLP6163W and the new Comcast HD DVR (DCT6208)
Haven't messed around with setting as everything looks great! I love the
DVR, doesn't have all the features I've read about for TIVO like searching
for shows, internet programming, etc. But it does record HDTV channels
nicely and works very nice. The DCT6208 DVR has both component and DVI out.
I have it hooked up via component as I'm using the DVI for the DVD player I
get (the Samsung that up-converts to HD). We've had the HD cable box for
two weeks and the TV for a week or so before that. I already ordered
another DVR box for a standard TV just to get the DVR features. I think
they're great. While I'd like all the advanced TIVO features I think the
benefits of having it in the cable STB overrides the small shortcoming from
TIVO.
