I have to agree that the Intel "overclockability" is better than AMD, but Abit motherboards are certainly not the best. Once he hops off Abit's d**k he will realze that ASUS is the best.

There's nothing wrong with abit's boards .. I've been with abit for over 4-5 years and have had my problems like any other guy with any other motherboard out there .. The best thing with abit 4-5 years ago was the ability to overclock the cpu's with ease in bios, minus any jumper settings etc ..

So that's the guy on 3DMark 2005 with the score of 30,000 8) interesting .. I can only get a score of 16,100 .. lol damn!

Whats special about a c2d extreme at 5.4?

Shut up. Although 5.4GHz isn't really that special for liquid Nitrogen, is it? I mean, not world record worthy, right?

The one thing that is wrong with what you just said is that it was not liquid nitrogen. That was a Phase Change cooler.

I thought the guy said he ran it on liquid nitrogen back home up to 5.4Ghz, but on the phase change setup, at least at cebit, he could only get up to like 5.2 or something.

LN2/DI overclocks only last as long as the LN2/DI, but a cascade-cooler can run just like any other liquid/air-cooled machine(24/7 if you wanted).

5.4GHz isn't that special. I remember reading 7+ Ghz on P4s for world record super PIs.
If I can see 5.4 Ghz on air or liquid (water), I'll be impressed.

Edit: Forgot the link.  Dohh!

while abit had a bad time for a couple of years there new offering for core2 are the best (thinking of the quadro here). Asus while good is overated and overpriced.
