First build - I have 3 case fans on Molex connectors

No problem, just looking at the box for a Noctua Ultra Silent 1200rpm 120mm fan, it uses .6 watts.

also the fans will draw the most current at the beginning when they start up to overcome friction.

so power draw at that time won't matter cause your video card and other components will be drawing very little.

Have found a 6 PIN power connector with four Molex's on it.


Would i be safe to run 3 fans (1 is on a speed control - 800RPM to 2400RPM) and my LED light on the the fourth.

1-3 Fans (1 variable)

4 - LED light (front panel)

Should be absolutely fine. You can run pretty much as many fans on one circuit as you want. (Be sensible!) Fans are just about the lowest power draw component of your computer. Leds also use a very small amount of power.
You'll be just fine.
