I was wondering if there was a way to migrate users, ACL,
files and permissions, and NOTHING ELSE. I'm migrating a
webserver from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003. I've got a
complicated folder structure for all the web data and a
complicated security structure that would probably take
me a full two days to reconfigure if I had to do it by
hand. Here's what I want to do: On SERVER1, I have the
user accounts, groups, files and permissions. I want to
move that information to SERVER2 and have those
permissions and accounts apply to the files. I want as
little administrative interaction as possible. If
there's no way to move those with the same settings, is
there a way to capture the user accounts, groups and then
the file security settings to a batch file? Any
assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
