I have win2000 server with active directory and file
server together on one box. Last week we added new server
as active directory server , passed all roles of first
server to this new server.
I would like to demote my first server, and keep it as
only file server. When I demote my fisrt server as member
server, do I loose all user permission, folder security and
share names? Please advice. I don't want to loose any file
server information on this 55 user setup, with 10GB of
data on file server.

Can some one please answer this.

Thanks,

GANESH NAIK
