Why is nForce 590/570 not good for O/Cing?

What makes you say that? Everything I've read about it says it's a dog that couldn't touch the speeds of the 965P or 680i/650i with a ten foot pole. The best FSB I've seen on it is 345, though there isn't a whole lot of info on this chipset seeing as it never really took off and was quickly replaced by the 600 series.

My ASUS Crosshair overclocks very well with an nForce 590

Unless I'm grossly mistaken, the Crosshair board has the AM2 version of the 590 chipset. We're talking about the Intel version here.
