Im looking at upgrading my graphics processing and it looks like my best move is as cheap as possible using what I already got. I have a 7800 gtx and as the subject stats, Is it possible to SLI a eVGA 7800 GTX with a eVGA 7800 GT? any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Anthony.

The short answer is: no

It might (a very small might) be possible but you would have to flash the BIOS and that in itself is just too much risk for such a high priced card. I think you would be better off selling one or both of your old cards and getting a new one, or waiting for a new DX10 card to come out.

why not?

flash the BIOS 7800GTX-->7800GT,then you have two 7800GT

the same BIOS, you will be successful

Flashing the BIOS is risky and I do not recommend it. Which is why I said no. You make it sound easy but in fact it is not. There's a good chance of destroying your card and so I strongly recommend against it, unless you know what you're doing.

if they both run the same physical chip you could do it iof you flashed btu i doubt you'd want to do that.

pokes self in eye
