Hello,

I have accidentally disabled a critical service - RPC -
in my Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Then, tots of things
got affected in the server system.

I decided to reinstall Windows 2000 server and ran the
installcation CD. I tried 2 ways:

Way 1:
======
I chose "Upgrade" when running the SETUP application of
the installation CDROM. When the installation tried to
copy the files into $WIN_NT$.~LS, it gave out the
errors (no specific error message) for lots of files
being copied. Eventually, I gave up because it asked to
hit "Skip File" key too many times.

Way 2:
======
Then, I chose to the "Clean" install chose the
location from which the CD will be installed and
the target location (I chose \FOR2000 instead of
default "\WINNT". Then, I got similar copy errors
for couple of files. When these happened, I hit
"Skip the File" button. After that, the installation
seemed OK and went ahead to reboot the system. But
when it tried to come back up after reboot, it gave out
the error:
"File $WIN_NT$.~BT\l_intl.nls could not be loaded. The
error code is 14. Setup cannot continue. Press any key
to exit".

Could anyone help me in this matter? Appreciate for
any comments.

Thank you very much
