Win 7

I have a 6 month old Toshiba Satellite laptop with Vista as an OS. It hardly ever responds when asked, it is slow, and has just become an overall pain. I recently purchased Win 7 Pro for a crashed laptop. My question is how many times can i use this software, and how would i go about updating Vista to Win 7 on my Toshiba if i can use this software more than once.

I hope you didn't buy an upgrade copy of 7 Pro... otherwise you're going to have a heck of a time getting it to work properly on your crashed laptop. I'm going to wait anxiously for your reply, hoping you bought a retail or OEM copy instead.

Regardless of which type you bought however (OEM, Upgrade or Retail), you can reinstall 7 as many times as you need to (if the OS crashes, if a piece of hardware fails... etc.). I also outline the differences between OEM and retail copies in question 8 of this thread, if you weren't already aware.

I purchased a complete copy of Win 7. I have both thw 32 bit and 64 bit. My question should have been how many computers can i use this software on?
