Reason I gave links for Mobo, HD, and DVD is because was wondering if it had enough cables?

Budget is 2K so if there's anyroom for improvement then I can do it up to around $200.

As always there is always room for saving, so if you know anything that is just as good as cheaper, just say. Or if I'm missing something.

EDIT: Would Sanji's Quad-Core be a better choice?

Splendid
The 80mm intake fan in CM C5 case will limit the overclock. The Centurion 534 has 3 120mm fan mounts & 2 fans installed. Much better for o/cing for the same price. Even if it's not for o/cing, bigger fans will keep the system cool.

OEM means the item in an anti-static bag & nothing else. The retail mobo has more cables than your parts need.

I'd get an e6300 right now cuz all other chips will have price drops. The top end ones will be discounted as much as 70%. Then upgrade to a faster chip after price drops.

I always tell 1st time builders to get retail parts. The little extras they give you are worth double what ever saving they offer. NO fun on Sunday night finding that you don't have the correct part to get your rig running. Monday morning seems about 72 hours away.
I would think about a 2nd HD, either for the OS and such or a data back up.
On the other part changes, I agree with akhilles, e6300 and a nice case with lots of fans.

get 2 WD 16MB 250GB HDDs and stripe them. You can probably even afford 3 and a CPU cooler. If you are going to OC definately get a HSF.
