Updated Win98SE to Win 2000 Pro. New system boots to
logon window. After trying to logon with Administrator
userid and correct password, get message 'Loading
personal settings', screen goes to wallpaper used under
Win98 and after a few seconds goes back to initial logon
window.

Have installed a clean, dual boot of Win 2000 Pro which
comes up cleanly and allows logon but is missing all
previously installed applications and some drivers (video
and sound for example - runs standard VGA).

Any way to break the logon loop of the first system so I
can identify and move things from the first system to the
new system? No longer have the Win98 install CD or the
driver CD for this system (which isn't that old, they
were misplaced during some housekeeping).
