W2000 SP4 logon interface problem

I just installed SP4 over an older version windows 2000
professional using the express installation file I
downloaded from microsoft. (I was happy with what I had,
but my ipod mini requires win 2000 sp4 or a newer version.)
When I booted my computer i got an error message saying
logon user interface msgina.dll failed to load. Couple
other dlls including shlwapi.dll also failed. In short, I
can't start windows. I guess the best thing to do is
uninstall sp4. If anyone has any recommendations as to why
this is happening and How I can uninstall sp4 to go back to
normal I would appreciate it.
