new card advice

i currently have a 6800 xfx agp card. I want to buy a 7600 gs agp. should i buy it. which one is better overall. is the 7 series card better than the 6 series.
Does the 7600 gs have new technology.

Please do not recomend other cards. my friend wants to sell me the 7600 gs.

the 7600gs might just be slightly better overall, but sure as hell not by too much. I honestly wouldnt waste my time buying it.

I agree, if your gonna upgrade from a 6800, go to at least a 7800, or consider an ATI X1900 or above.

I would recomend saving some more money up for an 8800 GTS, so you will be able to run DX 10 games later on, if your system is up to par.

It won't be a significant upgrade, so unless you need SM 3.0 for a specific game then its not worth it.

His 6800 has sm3.0 support, so he wouldn't even have that advantage going for him.

The 6-series cards all have SM 3.0.
