Dave tried but couldnt do it.. MS said that I could copy
a couple of files and write a boot.ini file and boot from
the floppy to get past the NTLDR Error so if anyone can
tell me how to write a boot file to a floppy I ll try
that.. I have correct syntax if yours isnt exactly what
I need so someone please send me the directions and I ll
try it... thanks Grant

Actually as far as I can tell you never asked prior to this post. For the
floppy to successfully boot Windows 2000 the disk must contain the "NT" boot
sector. Format a diskette (on an NT machine, not a DOS/Win9x, so the NT boot
sector gets written to the floppy), then copy ntldr, ntdetect.com, and
boot.ini to it; and possibly ntbootdd.sys. Edit the boot.ini to give it a
correct ARC path for the machine you wish to boot.

Actually you specifically asked how to get past some error which was
answered then and again above. You stated "I have correct syntax if yours
isnt exactly what........." which to me says you already have the text of
the file and just needed to know the steps to creating a boot floppy.
Sometimes re-reading what you wrote helps, then again sometimes not. Either
case if you need the text of the file then you'll need to post the partition
details.
