I'm having some issues getting the driver for my 7950 GTX. I had originally gone to nVidia's website and downloaded the driver. Before installation, nVidia requested that I remove the current driver, which I did.
When I ran the driver-installation program, an error popped up saying "no hardware was found to match the driver". :?: :?: :?: . I'm kind of lost here, why wouldn't my 7950 GTX card not be compatible with the 7900 series driver? Does anyone know where I can find a compatible driver?
The problem might be with the fact that the 7950GTX doesn't exist. You are either talking about the 7950GT, the 7900GTX, or the 7950GX2. Please clarify.
That's funny, the GeForce Go 7xxx drivers on nVidia's site have no mention of 7950GTX compatibility.
My guess is that you have a tweaked chip from your manufacturer that won't work with stock nVidia drivers. You should probably check the manufacturer's site for driver updates, or revert back to your old ones. Good luck.
Edit: well it is an official nVidia chip, but they don't seem to have drivers for it. Check the manufacturer's site.
