My Case: CoolerMaster Stacker 830 Evo Black.
Main Theme Color: Orange.

Upgrades so Far:
1x CoolerMaster 120mm UV Orange Fan in the rear.
1x CoolerMaster 120mm UV Orange Fan in the top.
2x CoolerMaster 120mm UV Orange Fan in the front.
Logisys Dual 12" Cold Cathode UV Flow Lights.
2x CoolerMaster UV Orange SATA Cables.
UV Orange PSU Sleeving.

Please help me trick this case out. The case is already bada$$ as it is, lets make it scare little kids. Any ideas, suggestions, critiques, anything that will help me design and mod this case is very much apriciated. Don't hesitate to suggest anything because it is too "extreme". If you have an idea, lets here it.

Come on guys. I really want to make this case nice.
March 20, 2007 10:04:44 PM

First what kind of case do you have?

Second lose the cathodes and get this. Extremely bright!
Place it show it beaming onto the mobo or onto the window.

Here is a great fan controller! It looks sweet!

If you drink/smoke by your computer try this on.

Buy some vinyl film if you want to change the color of the outside of the case. These guys have a tutorial on how to put it on. They have some wicked sick vinyl films! They also got a nice turbine engine fan and some cool little grills! The machined billet and the Urban assault are thier best ones.

Get some UV paint and do the inside of your case, I prefer to do the beams of the case. But do what ever looks good to you.

These guys got the fattest fan grills.

If you want to do a BIG job.

You can buy some vinyl film, a stylus pen, and an applicator from somewhere and do the outside of your case. Remember you don't have to have just one layer of film you can put another layer on top of a different color.

You can go to a local store and by some plaster of paris and mold a bottem to the case and paint over it so what ever you decide to make your case look like it looks as if its coming out of the ground. I like to name my cases so when I put plaster at the bottem I used some wood and cut letters out and placed them on the front in the mold and removed the wood after the mold dried and it looked like an engraving. If you want you can paint down in the letters for some more lookie!

Expensive but easy thing to do is, get a case without a window and paint it camo color. Buy a military switch from www.xoxide.com and get a antenna from an old radio and place it on the back of the case. Then find an old phone that's HUGE and build an arm for the phone to sit on on the side of the case so it looks like its an old military phone!

If you have a case without a window already and you want one buy a dremel tool and some plexi glass. Cut the metal with the dremel and place the plexi glass on the bottem side and glue it down.

Cooler Master Stacker 830 (Black)I was also thinking along the lines of custom mods.

You want BADA$$?!? You want custom? You wanna scare the entire neighborhood?

I got a mod for you. Baddest mofo Stacker I've ever seen. Think serial killa BAD. Good luck with the metalwork though ;)

Now, that is P.I.M.P, a wet dream of a case.

Read through and see the step-by-step....might give you ideas if you're handy with tools.

That is gangster. But I have a Stacker 830 Evo. The better looking stacker.

Same shiz, different model.

That case gives me the tingles though. WOW.

OUTSIDE OF THE CASE...

Ok take the wire mesh and the front door off. You may need a dremel tool or some metal nibblers if they welded it or something. Take a hacksaw and cut the top handle off or w/e that is that over hangs the front of your case when the door is off.

Now on the side panel take that black thing off and replace it with a window. Plexxy glass is the best. Epoxy glue will hold the window forever! Before you put the glass in the case cut a circle with a 10cm drill bit right over top where your cpu is going to be. Than put your four wholes in window for your fan screws. (Measure carefully!!) All you need now is a fan grill for it.

Ok, now that your this far take your front 120mm front fan off and cut out a 10cm hole in the front with your drill bit. Then put the fan back on and get a grill. I gave a site to some nice fan grills on my above post.

For the top of the case take the lan/audio ports thing off, and use a bevel tool and cut a perfect rectangle out. Make sure you cut through all the way down to where you have a hole and you can see the bottem of your case. Then put another window there. It looks extremely sick to have a window on top :D  If you want to have great cooling forget about the window on top and cut out a hole so you can place a 120 mm fan there. Then I would suggest getting this grill for that. http://www.mnpctech.com/Custom_Black_PC_Fan_Grill.html

Then get this. Apply it to the entire outside and inside of the case.
http://www.mnpctech.com/DiamondPlateFilm.html

After that get this and paint it with spray paint to w/e color you want. (or just buy the color you want but I can't find any other colors)
http://www.mnpctech.com/BrushedChromeFilm.html
To give it the metal flake look (glitter) take a window screen and hold it up as you paint it. Once your done painting let it dry for a day.

Cut out some sort of design like flames, or a w/e you can think of. Once your done cutting apply the design to the case.

After all that is done you can buy some LED feet for the case or buy some wheels that lock.

Inside

Get rid of the Cathodes and buy that Laser LED light I mentioned eralier and place it on the top and shine it on the window or on the mobo.

Get some UV paint (preferably the same color as the design you cut out earlier) and paint all the beams and the PSU support beam. (this looks totally wicked!

Seeing how you have 10cm holes all through your case you should invest in some aluminum fan filters. http://www.mnpctech.com/Fanfilter.html
Trust me they don't detain your cooling alot maybe a 2-3 degrees Celcius at most.

Also invest in the fan controller I mentioned earlier it looks fat on cases and its very very very useful!!

Hmmm... Maybe an orange plexiglass window?
March 21, 2007 1:43:43 AM

Orange Plexxy glass will only make it hard to see inside of the case. Clear would be best. Your LED orange fans will make it look orange anyways. So will the Laser LED I said you should get. But if it must be get it a clear sheet of plexy glass and buy some Orange window tent.

Paint the inside of your case with some color of uv paint. I took the armor case and took everything out and painted the inside with green uv paint and put blacklights on the inside along with 4 blue led fans and some multi lazers from xoide.
People freaking love it lol

Let me know what you get man! I want to see some pics :D

I used orange UV paint in a case once then put in UV LEDs. It lit up like a desert sunset.
March 22, 2007 10:07:44 AM

Nice. I am going to do the UV paint for sure. I am also going to put an LCD monitor somewhere in there. I wanted to use the one from my PSP but that would be very hard.
March 22, 2007 10:12:02 AM

What is it going to display? Unless your an electrical engineer or something of the sort your not going to be able to do so. (I'm assuming that you mean Playstaion's PSP) Plus the LED will ruin the view of it if its inside of the case. You could use a Dremel tool and cut out the outline of your PSP buy some molding slap it in the hole you just cut out then stick the PSP in the whole. Then if you have a power cord for your PSP that plugs into the wall you can go and drill a hole just big enough for the wire to fit out and plug it in... Then boom you got a PSP on the outside of your case and yes that would look wick3d!
March 22, 2007 10:15:32 AM

Yeah... That would be sick as hell though. The coolest thing you can do would be to mod an HDD like this:

Take it apart.
Put it in a custom stainless steel case.
Polish the stainless stell to a mirror.
Put an acrylic window the whole top of the case.
Put an LCD screen (such as one from a PSP) into the case.

That would be ballin.

Oh and pm me if you want "me" to mod your case you pay for shipping and supply's and I'll only charge you 100$ Usually I charge by the hour and ends up somewhere around 400$.
March 22, 2007 10:24:12 AM

Hmmm... I will definately consider that but part of the fun is doing it yourself.

Your right it is fun doing it yourself. Problem is cutting holes and all that if not done properly you will mess up big time, than the case is no longer good. But trust me when I tell you if you put the PSP inside the case its going to look "orange" which defeats the purpose of having it inside the case. Unless you get rid of the inside lighting and just keep the PSP.
