I recently purchased a new computer with XP Home that is being used as a
stand alone computer. I connected a HP 1220c printer with a USB connection
to the computer and it was immediately recognized and prints properly. I
then connected a Xerox Work Center PE16 printer to the same computer using a
second USB port. The PE16 required a driver installation that was sucessful.
When I go to control Panel and click on Printers and Faxes it is present and
shows that it is ready. However when I try to print from the computer using
the PE16 nothing happens. The printer is on and is ready and prints when
operated from its console. Whats wrong?

Hi ... Are you using 2 printers ? If so ? Your computer is most likely using
the HP printer as its default , Go to the following >>> start >>
control panel and , double click the Printer and Faxes , If you notice your
PE16 printer listed right click on it and select the default option ,
Afterward try out your PE16 printer and see if it works

Uninstall the Xerox printer and then install it correctly... ie driver
software BEFORE connection.

Hi Joe, when you click file then click print, the print dialog box should
show two printers, just select the printer you want to use and go from
there, I have two printers connected to my commuter ( Compaq.)Win home
edition and it works fine. Hope this helps, Bill.
