I have just added memory to a dell G260 (Celeron) running
windows 2000 professional to bring it up to 512.

I expected to see improvement in accessing files, I didn't.

I was wondering what the page file settings should be for
512 Meg of Ram with the page file on the boot drive?

Or if you have other suggestions, I'm open to getting them.

Slowness in accessing files may not be related to low memory on your system.
The minimum page file will Total physical RAM+15 MB and the maximum can be
Physical RAM + 15% of RAM. The min and maximum variation should not be very
large as it incerases overheads. The page file has to be on c: drive.
