new router question

any idea why a router would disconnect from the internet overnight when the computer is not even on? It is a linksys befsr41v3. (I think it is on its way out.) I have tried everything(in another post) I am going to but another router but thought i would ask here first to see if anyone had similar problems. I will post a poll about readers opinion of the best hard wire router .

will add it to the poll. netgear hard wire? will look at them also.
