I'm having a problem after upgrading my laptop from
windows 98 to 2000 professional. The setup process itself
completed okay, but I had to leave before it had finished
so I'm not sure if I missed any important information;
because when I came back to check up on it, it had
rebooted, and the user logon screen was there... but when
I tried to log on with my old 98 user & password it
wouldn't accept it. The usual, password incorrect, when
I'm certain that its the right one, and right user
aswell.
Can anyone tell me if I missed something important? Like
at the end of the setup, maybe a temporary password or
anything?

Please help, I can't access my laptop AT ALL, only as far
as the logon box.

Have you tried using administrator and a blank password?
