I recently upgraded one of our office computer to W2K and
now I can't find an appropriate driver for the
monitor...What I have is an ADI MicroScan 2E/3E and I
uploaded drivers (*.inf files) from ADIUSA.com that say
they are windows 2000 compatible, but it gives me the
error message that none of the files are compliant for my
monitor...so basically it appears that my monitor is
running in safe mode...any help with some other drivers
that would work?

Hi,

I would recommend to talk to the vendor on phone support for more
information

or

1 Control Panel -->
2 Display Properties -->
3 Settings -->
4 Advanced -->
5 Monitor <Change Refresh Rate>
6 Properties -->
7 Driver
8 Update Driver <upgrade Device Driver Wizard...>
9 click Next ..
10 choose "display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I
can choose a specific driver"
11 Have Disk <install from disk>
12 specific location where you save the file to, then click OK
13 choose the model, then click Next
14 then, following the procedure to finish

or

You can click on update driver choose internet to search for you

You're dealing with a very common problem. It sounds like
you need a new driver for your graphics card, not the
monitor. Go may have to go the website of the
manufacturer of your graphics card. But, before you do,
read on.

If you don't know what kind of card you have, use the
Device Manager. Go to Start->run. Then
type "DEVMGMT.MSC" (without the quotes) and click OK.
From the Device Manager, expand the "Display adapters" to
see what's installed. Double click on the name of the
adapter. From the "Properties" window the Device status
should be "This device is working properly" If you need a
newer driver, click on the "Driver" tab and than click
the "Update Driver" button and follow the instructions.

If the above doesn't work, go to the vendor's website
(which you may have to do from another computer, one that
can access the Internet), download and install the driver
(assuming the vendor makes one for W2K). Then you should
be able to change the "Display Properties."

Best wishes.
Cary
