what will the difference be in harddrive performance:

DS3 BIOS:

disable AHCI, SATA Ctrl mode to IDE so that I do not need to load sata drivers to install XP

vs

Hit F6 during XP install and load SATA drivers, with AHCI mode enabled in BIOS.

will I see any differance in performance? I have 2 SATA drives. 160GB WD1600AAJS from primary and an 80GB seagate SATA for page file and storage.

EDIT: OOPS wrong section...ahh well.

As i see it there will not be a noticeable difference. It would be easier to just hit F6 though.

How is it easir to hit F6. That requires me to have made a driver floppy and load from it. Otherwise I dont have to do anything. The drivers automatically load from the OS so how is more work easier?
