Computer is running Windows 2000 professional, SP4.
Printer (HP deskjet 970 cse) prints a document from (Word,
Notepad, or Worpad), but does not complete printing of the
document. No errors are returned from Windows OS or the
printer.
Problem MAY have started when an internet session
installed "spyware." Used removal tools (Adaware, etc.) to
remove spyware files from computer. Computer also has up-
to-date Norton AV protection and Zone Alarm firewall.
I replaced the printer driver with a fresh install from HP
and changed the parallel print cable. No change in printer
output. Relocated the printer to another computer running
Windows 98 where it runs correctly.
Is this a Win2000 problem (corrutped file?). Can I do a
dirty re-install of SP4 (then apply updates)?
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
