If you want to know how your Intel dual-core CPU (or quad-core, if any) vs AMD dual-core works in multi-threaded app. then you can try this small multi-threaded benchmark: http://www.auper.com/misc/benchmark.exe
To see if it uses all your cores - open Windows Task Manager and click on Performance tab first before clicking on the Start button to run the bench. The bench will last about 5sec after you click on Start.
I'm curious to see how CD2 and AMD X2 score in multi-threaded app.
Please post your result (score of Thread 1 to 4) and don't forget to specify also your CPU model and speed.
On my lame PC (P4 2.8Ghz with 1GB of rams, WinXP Pro) it scores like this:
Thread 1 = 120387, Thread 2 = 124006, Thread 3 = 130737, Thread 4 = 14879. :?
