I am upgrading a small NT domain to Win2k. I wish to copy user share
areas from the former to the latter. The Microsoft white paper on migration
talks about 'Re-ACL'ing the files.

Must I replace the ACLs on all the files? Or does SIDHistory render that
superfluous?

If I have to replace, is there a tool that will replicate what's in the NT
filesystem?
Users generally have Public and Private directories, with the Private
directories allowing access only to them (and Admins and SYSTEM.)

Thanx for any ideas.
