What kind of tools will htye be working with.

An X1300 or GF7300 would be fine, and the X1600 may be useful depending on tha apps.

They are harder to find though because it's two niches in one, so while there are dual DVI variants of many cards, being AGP adds to the shortage of choices from store to store.

Here's the best cheap solution from NewEgg;

No X1300s no GF7300s, only GF6600s in that price range, and depending on the app the X1650 would be better in most situations.

:arrow: Looking for something semi-mid-range,7600 - 1600 type of unit.Going in Opteron 180 based units with 2GB RAM and WD Raptors(compile about 15% quicker than 7200s).

Thanks.

Dual port or Dual link ports?

I've used the BFG 6600 GT otc and it's a sweet AGP card. Highly recommended.

That's one's actually $99 AFR and it's the one I posted.

I think compared to the GF6600 it's a better deal, but depends on the applications.

I just wish there was a passively cooled one in the AGP segment because that would be the best for a proffesional situation where reliability is more important than 25mhz more.

I's still be using mine if I hadn't built a PCI-e computer with a 7900GT
