There was a thread earlier in this NG about running CoH in Virtual PC for
Macintosh.
Since our office is Macintosh (in most cases), we have had occasion to
acquire Virtual PC.
With the advent of the Dual G5 2GB processors, we are looking at upgrading
our current versions. But we didn't want to buy the copies and find that it
didn't work, so lo and behold you can download a 45 Day Free Trial of
VCirtual PC for Macintosh on the Microsoft website.
Off I go to download.
Download is a ~20MB zip file. No problem, MacOS X recognizes zip files, so
I unarchive it.
It is all .exe, .dll, and .msi files. Huh? Those won't run on a Mac. Maybe
they are disk creation programs for the Mac. So I put the zip on my PC and
run the Setup.exe
"Installing Virtual PC for Mac 45 day free trial"
Huh?
I'm running Virtual PC for Mac on my PC?
Huh?
Oh, by the way.....it doesn't include a operating system.
So the 45 day free trial will have a black screen requesting a boot file
for 45 days?
If I wanted to look at a black screen for 45 days, I would sign up for WoW.
