Hi to all,

My son was using my mums laptop to do his homework tonight
and for some reason Explorer is not available.
When we click on the shortcut to Explorer, it goes directly into
'my documents' but not in the Explorer environment.
I phoned a friend, (sounds like a game-show) he suggested a reboot
of which didnt fix it. He then suggested right clicking on Start
then clicking on Explorer.... of which we did and were taken
into the start folder within explorer with all other areas of Explorer
showing just fine.
We tried to save my lads homework but it doesnt show up in the
folder where we saved it to, which of course is in Explorer.

So, the problem here is 'what has happened to Explorer'?
What can I do to rectify this?
Why does mums Explorer shortcut icon take us into 'my documents'
instead?

Very grateful for any help, especially help real soon.

Petunia

R/c the shortcut and make sure it's something like this.

%SystemRoot%\explorer.exe

Or just type explorer in Start Run.
