I have a W2K AD Native-mode, single-domain forest and am in the process of
replacing a DNS server. The DNS server only provides DNS and WINS services
and my zones are not Active Directory integrated. Eventually we will upgrade
the entire domain to W2K3 AD, but this DNS server has to be replaced before
that happens.
Is there any reason why I can't just replace one of the two existing W2K
DNS servers with a W2K3 server running DNS services? Will the W2K3 DNS
server and the W2K DNS server play nice together?
Any input is greatly appreciated.
