Newer sata type mobos work with old IDE HD's???
Mar 22, 2007, 8:11 PM
I am building a new system and I have a 320 gig caviar IDE HD that I bought a half a year ago. I use it only for a storage device. Will I be able to use this on the newer mobos that are mostly SATA.

You can use up to 2 PATA drives with this board, e.g., you WD and a DVD burner.
