Windows did not detect any networking hardware

Hello, I recently re-installed Windows 7 and I can no longer connect to the internet because I am unable to find the network, after checking my device manager I need to update drivers for ethernet controller among others and am unsure of how to do this with no connection and if it is even my problem!

More about windows detect networking hardware
  1. you need access to another computer thats connected to the internet and a usb flash drive or external hard drive or cd/dvd writer--unless you have a driver disc that came with your pc
  2. I have a usb flash drive available, how would I find the driver that is needed?
  3. if its a pre-built pc go to the makers website and put in your model number in their support page--or if you know the make of motherboard try their website
you can use cpuz to get the motherboard model
