My RAM is either bad or I can't figure out the proper bios settings. Whenever I try to install windows I get funky graphics on the screen and it just stalls. On my previous motherboard (Abit f-i90hd) it would just crash at the beginning of the windows install .

Currently my Patriot Extreme Performance 2x1gb 800mhz RAM is set at 2.2 V and 4-4-4-12-5 timings in the BIOS. I have made no other adjustments to the BIOS. My other components include:
e4300 processor
SATA 150g WD Raptor HD
SATA Samsung DVDRW
8800GTS GPU

Can someone with experience with this motherboard or RAM offer me any suggestions?

try 5.5.5.15 timings @ 2.2v to see if the errors go away.

I read that to install Vista I need to flash the bios with the latest version. How do I do this without a floppy drive or an OS installed?

if you have a USB flash disk you can do the BIOS update, stick the BIOS file on the USB disk, then boot the system, enter BIOS, under the tools menu there is an option to run a BIOS update program
