Just wondering which of these cards are better and if any of you know if they would work in this motherboard. Not sure what info is needed for the mb so I just posted it all.

The x800 is a faster card and does perform better,but it does not have the latest and greatest that the new cards of today are boasting.The 7600 is this case is the better of the two cards.Realy it's up to you.Either card performs well.Close your eyes and turn three times.Whatever card you are pointing closest to is the one you want.

If you could get you hands on a Palit 7600GS Sonic DDR3 for agp it an run most games at fairly good resolution and quality.

and it overclocks well from stock 400/1000 got my friends card running at 500/1500

Yeah, the X800XL is easily the more powerful card. But if SC:D ouble Agent is on his play list, he would need an SM3.0 card. A 7600GS would be a step down in performance though, unless he gets a GDDR3 version and OC's it.

I totally agree. Besides, the 7600GS is not really powerful enough to fully utilize sm3.0. IMO anything less than a 7600GT isn't worth getting just for sm3.0.
