Help please HDD and OS

Aloha all thanx in advance for any help offered. 1 of my computers crashed and now when i turn it on nothing happens. Black screen comes up and says there is no boot device. i checked the bio and such changed and changed and put back my changes etc etc. than i installed a hdd off one of my other computers and it worked. So what io need to know is . is there a way i can buy a hard drive with windows OS already installed on it? or do i have to buy a HDD and than by a new OS?

You could buy one from a retailer and have them install XP put that would cost you way more than it's worth. Just install it your self, it's really straight forword. Windows does the work. Installing the drives is also very easy. Before you give up on the hdd, download the diagnostic/repair/install software from the hdd mfg website and run it off a Floppy. Depending on the repair you may or may not lose everything on the drive
