Overclocking capability of FX-62s

My friend is selling me his old gaming comp, as he decided to go all out instead of just getting a new graphics card. The thing I want to know is how well do FX-62s overclock? This comp has an ungodly amount of fans and has a top notch CPU fan also, but my friend didn't overclock it at all for some reason.

A64s do about 200-300mhz safely with good cooling. i pushed my amd64 4000+ from 2.95ghz stable to 3ghz when it blew and fried so anywhere from 200-500mhz (400-500mhz is dangerous though).

Ok thanks for the info, what is the max temp that the FX should be at?

um...athlon 64s peak at 2.8-3ghz if you're lucky. ive personally have had no problem with 800-1000mhz overclocks with lowend chips. Usually the higher end you go with the A64, the less oc you get.
