I have been struggling to get the cable box DCT 6200 to output PCM via SPDIF
and have yet to find a tech at Comcast that can help me, does anyone has any
luck? Or this is not even possible. I live in San Francisco Bay Area if that
helps.

On the DCT 5100 the SPDIF output is active by default. I don't think
it's even possible to turn it off. You probably have a defective box.

I apologize for not providing all the details - SPDIF is active for all
channels except it outputs 5.1 signals for the digital channels and PCM for
the analog channels. Unfortunately, my equipment is a 2-channel system.

Is there a menu option that allows you to tell the DCT6200 that you've got a
2-channel setup rather than a 5.1-channel setup? If so, make that change.
If not, use RCA cables.

There is no menu option to set the output to a 2-channel setup, the RCA
works, however, I have hooked up a DVDO iScan HD and there is a delay for
lip-syn, the iScan HD only accept digital audio, I might be screwed.
